Another New Year is here.
Don’t you think is finally time to make new decisions that will actually try to stick on?
Let’s start! We can do it together!
1. TRY TO FINISH ALL WORK FROM PREVIOUS YEAR
We know this is a pretty hard task to do. Especially because throughout December we are pretty busy with all sorts of things and plans, excited because of coming holidays, busy organising so many things and more work is just coming and coming. On another hand, there is nothing better than realizing that we have done most of our work from the previous year and we are getting into new one with an empty task list. It is such a wonderful feeling.
2. CLEAR YOUR WORKPLACE
Having papers all over your desk or hundreds of documents in a computer without any specific order can really destroy our day when we are in hurry to finish a specific task. Let’s avoid this situation and sort everything in order. Check all these documents on your desk, sort them by folders, by alphabet or numbers, scan what is important as a backup or just simply bin them. Once you clear your workplace from unnecessary things, you will feel way better.
3. START LOVING MONDAYS
Most of the people in the world will say the same – we hate Mondays. There is no reason to feel like that. It is all about perspective. If you think about Mondays in a way that it’s a perfect day to start from the beginning, slowly, by the time, you will feel more optimistic. Monday IS perfect day to correct last week mistakes and focus on upcoming tasks. Make a plan and go for it.
4. THINK ABOUT YOUR FUTURE
There is nothing wrong with thinking if that job really suits you and your abilities. If you would like to change a career or to get promoted, this is the perfect time to plan ahead. Why? Because you have one year in front of you to get what you want (and deserve). Don’t be scared, you can do it.
5. GET MORE ACTIVE
We were all going through the phase: I will get more active and sign up the gym close the workplace. Never happened. Instead, why not to use stairs instead of the escalator, or walk on the way to work (or cycling) instead of using public transport (you will save a lot of money)? Small and simple changes will lead to amazing results.
