An exciting opportunity is available to join the Faculty of Science & Technology as a Partnerships and Business Engagement Manager. The role will primarily focus on deepening existing partnerships aswell as identifying new collaborators. This will include developing collaborative and contract research, supporting intellectual property commercialisation, economic regeneration, co-location of business, professional training and student project based partnerships.
The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) is driven by the goal of continued improvement and a key element in this strategy is world-class knowledge exchange and business engagement activities. This new role will have a strong emphasis on security, but will also look to connect with research institutes and departments such as Mathematics & Statistics and Psychology. Additionally the post will align with the recently funded £6m cyber security initiative – the Greater Manchester Cyber Foundry – a project between Lancaster University, Manchester Metropolitan University, Salford University and the University of Manchester, which aims to combat cyber related threats to business that cost the region £860m a year.
We are looking for an enthusiastic professional with relevant experience to develop and deliver partnerships with a wide range of external organisations relevant to the Mathematics & Statistics and Psychology Departments as well as Security Lancaster and the Data Science Institute.
