Job Overview

The University is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant who can demonstrate high legal and administrative competencies, to join its Legal Office. The Legal Office provides legal advice and support across the University.  
  
The successful applicant must have an honours degree in law and previous experience of working in a legal environment as a legal assistant or paralegal, as well as an understanding of the Higher Education sector. The successful applicant will be expected to support the Head of Legal Services by:  
 
– providing administrative and research assistance;- assisting with the drafting and preparation of legal and other documentation such as contracts, policies and procedures and committee papers, across a range of legal and compliance areas, and – assisting with ad hoc legal and compliance projects.
