The School of Computing at the University of Portsmouth wishes to appoint a Lecturer in the field of Cyber Security. You will be involved in curriculum development, a wide range of teaching duties and contribute to the School’s research group in Cyber Security.

You will be joining a large diverse school with strong recruitment to a broad range of on-campus and distance-learning BCS accredited courses spanning the computing discipline.  The School attracts students from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures both from within the UK and elsewhere in the world. The School also has a strong and growing research profile, achieving a GPA of 2.81 in REF2014 and is currently running projects with a total value of over £1.5 million.

Your duties will include teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will also be asked to take on administrative and other management activities appropriate to the post, including assessment, student recruitment and unit co-ordination. You will also be expected to keep your teaching up to date with recent developments in the field.

You should have attained a PhD or equivalent in the computer science discipline and should, ideally, also have relevant industrial experience.
