The School of Management seeks a Lecturer in Business Analytics to join the Logistics, Supply Chain and Technology (LogiST) Research Centre. The Research Centre is newly established and is a key area of future growth and investment for the School. We have recently established an MSc in Logistics, Data Analytics and Supply Chain (CILT and CIPS accredited) and soon launching a BSc (Hons) in Management and Business Analytics and we are looking to maintain our growth in this area by recruiting skilled academic staff who can play a leading role in the development of new programmes, particularly at undergraduate level.
Members of the LogiST centre are research active. Their research interests are multidisciplianry and include business analytics and intellgience, circular economy, logistics and supply chain, food and retail supply chains, social innovation and digital governance. They are publishing in top ranked journals and are very successful in research and consulting income generation.
For the Lecturer post, candidates should be able to demonstrate a growing teaching and research reputation within Business Analytics filed with evidence of publications of at least 3* level in relevant journals. The candidate will possess quantitative analytical skills as well as have knowledge expertise covering key areas such as Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Big Data for Decision Making. Specifically, the candidate must have technical skillsets such as data analytics, modelling and simulation and have prior knowledge of using software packages such as SAS and open source tools (R and Python) for teaching within a business and management context.

This role will be offered at a grade 8 or 9 dependent on experience.
The salary range for grade 8 is £35,211 – £39,609
The salary range for grade 9 is £ 42,036 – £48,677
